The official opening of warehouse 9 is Friday 4. September.
We have a huge gala program with local and international artists for you and the event will be
documented by art photographer J. Jackie Baier from Berlin, who will start her DIVA residency with
us  on the opening night.

Liminal Institute – pioneers in crossover projects in fine art, performance and music will have
their 10′th anniversary and we will also have electronic music and avantgarde music on the bill.

Warehouse9 is slowly closing down in the old stable to open the new live art venue in the adjacent rooms in August 2009.
The first event in the new location will be an international art exhibition 24. – 29. August 2009 “Elsner`s SHOW” curated by Marian Elsner and Sabine Aichele-Elsnerand from ARTAE gallery in Leipzig, Germany. The  OFFICIAL OPENING EVENT for the new live art venue is scheduled to the 4. September. Until then we have 3 events in Warehouse 9 in June and a support event for queer art during Copenhagen Out Games 31. July in Råhuset in collaboration with the ethnic queer organization Sabaah.dk.

In October 2009 we are proud to announce our first international Performance Art Festival in collaboration with Spilll Festival (London) with the program “Visions of Excess” curated by Lee Adams(UK) & Ron Athey(US)

CORE FUNDNING FROM THE DANISH ARTS COUNCIL
Warehouse9 has received core funding from the Danish Arts Council for the project “Live Art Context” 2009 – 2011. This means that we can continue running the warehouse space as a cutting edge contemporary live art and queer performance space.
We now have an artistic board consisting of Stuart Lynch (Performance Artist/Director), Erik Pold (Director), Gritt Uldall-Jessen (Dramatist) and Jørgen Callesen (Performance Artist).
The daily staff is the still the crew, who have been running Warehouse9 since it started in 2007.

RENOVATION OF THE BUILDING
Our performance space is now being renovated by our project partners Kultur Vesterbro. The building will have new floors, toilets, heating and new windows. If the renovation runs according to plan we can continue the waerhouse9 activities in the two adjacent rooms the the warehouse space from July 2009. During the renovation we will continue our program on a monthly basis at the present location whenever possible. Be prepared to enter a building site for the month to come !

WAREHOUSE9 WEB TV
We are proud to announce that we will launch a Web TV portal in collaboration with Vesterbro Lokal TV 24. April 2009.
The portal will contain documentation shows, exhibitions, performances, concerts, interviews from events in the period 2007-2009 and also future events.
