Mathias Kryger – Cannibalism & Coversongs
I just reread a rewriting of Hansel & Gretel in a text by Kathy Acker about the American artist Nayland Blake. First it struck me that the mother of Hansel & Gretel is unbelievably evil, and then I realized that the witch is a cannibal. These are some sinister women.
“Cannibalism & Cover songs” is a lecture performance.
“Cannibalism & Coversongs” proposes an investigation of the citational, the stolen, the re-enacted – and through that, notions of originality and taboo. One way of doing that is by singing cover songs. So it’s both a lot of talking and showing pictures and stuff, and singing. Cover songs.

Miss Fish – The Platypus Complex
An absurd pseudo scientific performance lecture about classification systems, normality and the anatomy of human fish.

Solange Tô Aberta (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) – Concert
Tô Aberta! is a electro-musical performative project. The band has a strong influence of the Queer movement; this movement refuses universal classifications such as “homosexual”, “heterosexual”, “man” or “woman”, believing that those categories hide an enormous cultural and social variety. The lyrics of STA! encourage different perspectives and possibilities beyond the standard binary social roles like: male and female, straight and gay. Through their performances they question the general notion of gender, inspired by the concept of Queer Performativity, where you cross the varied identities as the tranny, transvestites, gays, lesbians, bisexuals and intersexuals. STA! experiments with electronic music trough the creation of samples and databases, having as main influence the mass culture music. They use rhythms and styles that cause discomfort in some people, the option on using those sounds were made because they are perfect to question and transgress, without losing the fun and pleasure aspect of music.
