WAREHOUSE9.DK (ENGLISH)
WAREHOUSE9 is a small performance space and art gallery founded in April 2007 in the old slaughter district in Central Copenhagen.
It is a space for contemporary art, music, poetry and performance with a direct link to the international queer community.
It aims to break established boundaries in the music, theatre, art and nightclub scene and create new links between genres and communities.
WAREHOUSE9 aims to bring art into life and life back into the art.
Since January 2009 Warehouse 9 has received core funding from the Danish Arts Council for the project
Live Art Context in the period 2009-2011. The project aims to contextualize the local, national and international live art and performance scene
through a monthly performance program, an annual international performance art festival and a research and documentation program.
The 4. September 2009 Warehouse 9 moved to new and refurbished facilities which was celebrated with a big performance gala event.

WAREHOUSE9 (DANISH)
WAREHOUSE9 er et lille kunstgalleri og performanceteater i Kødbyen i København.
Vores mål er, at arbejde på tværs af etablerede grænser og udtryksformer indenfor musik, kunst, teater og natklubscenen.
Vi henvender os til det lokale miljø med en bred vifte af udstillinger, koncerter og events og har en direkte dialog med den internationale scene bla. gennem et internationalt performance art program “Live Art Kontekst” støttet af Statens Kunstråd.
Siden Januar 2009 har warehouse 9 modtaget driftsstøtte fra Kunstrådets Idepulje til projektet Live Art Kontekst i perioden 2009-2011.
Med dette projekt ønsker vi at kontekstualisere lokale, nationale og internationale tendenser på live art og performance scenen, hvilket sker gennem et månedligt performance program, en årlig international performance art festival og et program for forskning, dokumentation og formidling.
D. 4. September 2009 flyttede warehouse 9 til nyrenoverede lokaler i Kultur Vesterbro’s regi, hvilket blev fejret med en stor performance galla event.
