Warehouse 9 operates as an artist driven Live Art Venue for experimental theater, visual art, media art and experimental music.
We have have a specific focus on Experimental Theater/Live Art/Feminist Art/Queer Art/Experimental Music/Experimental Dance/Choreography.
The artistic board is Erik Pold (Director), Gritt Uldall-Jessen (Playwright), Jørgen Callesen (Artist/Artistic Director) and Stuart Lynch (Director/Choreographer).
Apart from programming and curating events at the Warehouse 9 venue we also wish to motivate local and international artists
to propose projects, they think will apply to the venue. The projects can span from productions, exhibitions, open rehearsals, talks,
lectures, screenings, workshops to performances and concerts.
WHAT WE OFFER
Dependent on the circumstances and the type of the event we can offer the performance space, technical equipment, online presentation/PR, Web TV,and help with organizing the event.
The Space is 180 m2 incl. 3 toilets (1 with a shower) and a small deposit room. We have a basic sound system, light system and a modular rig system, which can cover the whole room. There is power to run professional sound and light systems.

WHO CAN APPLY
Visual artists, performers, dancers, actors, writers, choreographers, media artists, composers, creative technicians, lecturers, activists who have an artistic or cultural-political idea they wish to develop and present to an audience.
We aim to present professional productions and we are open to individuals and groups who have their education and artistic recognition “outside” the established institutions.
Furthermore we support community based art, which has a relation to marginalized communities such as queers, sex workers, feminists, ethnic groups etc.
We encourage all types of projects and artists to propose ideas spanning from spontaneous and contemporary tendencies without funding to more conceived and well described work (with or without funding).

FUNDING
Warrehouse9 is open to co-produce events with artists and we try to find a plausible way to finance the event.
If the event is unfunded the organizer will be able to finance some of the production and expenses from ticket sales.
Warehouse9 will charge a fee for staff, cleaning and running costs.
If the event has external funding we will charge a fee to cover basic staff and running costs.
Before you apply for any funding please contact us to inquire us for budgeting etc.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) WAREHOUSE9 CANNOT BE MENTIONED IN ANY FUNDING APPLICATION UNLESS APPROVED BY WAREHOUSE9.
2) IN THE EVENT OF A PROJECT RECEIVING SUPPORT AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT FROM WAREHOUSE9 THE BUDGET OF THE PROJECT SHOULD BE DECLARED AND OPEN TO WAREHOUSE9.
3) WAREHOUSE9 MUST BE INCLUDED IN A PROJECTS BUDGET AS REGARDS FUNDING APPLICATIONS AND BE IN ACCORDANCE AND AGREEMENT WITH WAREHOUSE9.
SELECTION OF PROJECTS
The board has meetings every month and will evaluate incoming projects in relation to artistic quality, motivation for contextualizing the work in Warehouse 9, contemporary themes and ideas, the organizations and individuals behind the project.

- We will ask for more information if needed: We look at incoming proposals at the monthly meetings, so you will typically have an answer witin a month.
