Jørgen Callesen works part-time as administrative director and curator at Warehouse9.
Jørgen has been the driving force in developing and sustaining the venue as a queer artist driven initiative supported by the City of Copenhagen and the Danish Arts Foundation.
He holds a Ph.D. in Information & Media Studies from Aarhus University and has worked with digital media and performance art for more than 20 years.
As a practicing artist he has created performances, lectures and installations under the name “miss fish”, which often have a queer perspective questioning norms and aesthetics regarding gender, identity and the representation of the body. The pieces have been presented in different formats and venues ranging from art academies, galleries, theater festivals, TV interviews and site specific events all over Europe.

Emma Castro Møller / Curator & Producer

Emma Castro Møller currently works part-time as curator and producer at the artist-led performance venue Warehouse9, where she has worked since 2013. Emma has been instrumental in shaping the venue’s curatorial profile and developing new artist-centered initiatives, international collaborations and securing economic stability. Outside of Warehouse9, Emma works with long-time collaborator Mary Osborn (UK) on their independent curatorial project osborn&møller. To date, the duo have curated programmes with the Wellcome Collection (UK), Mesto Žensk / City of Women (SL), Artsadmin (UK) and performingborders (UK/PT). Previously, Emma has worked as a freelance producer for performance artists Poppy Jackson (UK) and performance photographer Manuel Vason (UK/IT). She has also worked as Assistant Coordinator for the Sunday Sessions series at MoMA PS1 (US). Emma holds a Masters Degree in Theatre and Performance from Queen Mary, University of London and Bachelors Degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London.

Christian van Schijndel / Operations Manager

Christian van Schijndel currently works part-time as operations and stage manager at Warehouse9. Christian has a craft education in the carpentry profession and an artistic education in costume design, textiles and fashion from Camberwell and Middlesex University in London. For 13 years, he has continuously developed and optimised the listed building for theater and gallery operations. He has an in-depth knowledge of the building architecture, materials, possibilities and limitations and is therefore an important voice in the curatorial team and the artistic projects relating to site specificity and the potential of the building. Outside Warehouse9 he works as a cabaret singer and burlesque artist.
