SUMMARY:Solstice Walk: Daydreams and Sanctuaries
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to a solstice walk where we explore the surroundings of Damhussøen as a poetic mirror: when we allow ourselves to be moved by our surroundings\, they become reflections of our inner landscapes — and vice versa. Inspired by Gaston Bachelard’s The Poetics of Space and the ongoing project Daydream Dialogues\, Peter Vadim invites you to discover and create temporary sanctuaries — spaces that open up for reflection\, intimacy\, and community. \nAlong the walk\, we will: \n\nDraw inspiration from the stories of the site: From the Bronze Age burial mound at Skjulhøj (once located near Skjulhøj Allé) to medieval findings and architectural traces that reveal the area’s transformation.\nExplore materials and sensations: How can a stone\, a shadow\, a sound\, or a found object become a sanctuary? Participants are encouraged to build\, discover\, or imagine small spaces where one can sit and daydream.\nTake part in daydream exercises: We will pause along the route to listen\, draw\, write\, or simply be.\n\nThe walk is an open invitation to see the city with new eyes. Come as you are\, and together we can create poetic pauses within public space. \n  \nPRACTICAL INFORMATION \nTime: 21:45–22:45\nMeeting point: Damhuskanten Café\, Damhussøen (please meet us 10 minutes early)\nParticipation: Open to all ages and abilities. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.\nLanguage: Danish/English depending on the group — notes will be in English.\n(Maximum 20 participants) \nPlease wear clothes that can get a little dirty. \n  \nABOUT THE ARTIST \nPeter Vadim works with sensory and participatory art unfolding within landscapes and urban spaces. His practice explores how temporary structures emerge through encounters between chaos\, imagination\, and the body. Drawing inspiration from ecological thinking\, emergent processes\, and poetic methods\, he creates situations where people\, places\, and materials collectively reimagine sites anew — allowing relational and fluid identities space to evolve. \nA central point of departure in his work is a care for the abject — the overlooked\, forgotten\, and excluded — as both an ethical and aesthetic foundation. \nDaydream Dialogues is developed in cooperation with Metropolis – Performing Landscapes & BIRCA – Bækkelund International Residency Center for Artists. \n  \nWarehouse9 is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation\, the City of Copenhagen\, and Vanløse Lokaludvalg. \nGraphics: Alix Smed Dawids

SUMMARY:Dud Muurmand: FENRIS - Qlab Residency
DESCRIPTION:Dud Muurmand is artist-in-residence for an artistic development programme at Warehouse9’s Qlab from 6 to 22 July 2026. Here\, she will develop the multidisciplinary performance piece FENRIS\, created in collaboration with musician Marko Hautamäki (FI)\, which will later be presented at the alternative culture festival Uma Obscura in Umeå\, Sweden. \nFENRIS is a multidisciplinary interpretation of the mythological tale of the Fenris wolf\, symbolising the struggle between chaos and order. In the initial brainstorming sessions\, this concept has been paired with the symbol of the contemporary introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in both art and work. The music is being created by Marko in direct collaboration with Dud\, who is designing the choreography and the visual expression of the costumes. \nAs part of the work’s development at Warehouse9’s Qlab\, there will be a public showing/workshop in October. More information on this will follow. \nDud Muurmand is a Copenhagen-based dancer\, choreographer\, performance artist\, instructor\, and costume designer. She has been a part of the Warehouse9 community for many years\, including performing at the Screwed/Xmas Cabaret and Piano Bar. She tours several European and Nordic alternative/dark fusion festivals with workshops and performance projects. Additionally\, she runs her own Patreon online forum and community\, where she teaches\, directs larger performance projects\, and experiments with online/video performance. Dud works with the fusion of dance and storytelling\, frequently drawing inspiration from Nordic history\, mythology\, and folklore. \n  \nWarehouse9 is supported by The Danish Arts Foundation and The City of Copenhagen. \nAccess Information\nWarehouse9 has level free entrance to the space and an accessible toilet that can be accessed via a certified stairlift.\nAll events at Warehouse9 are considered “relaxed”. We operate with a safer space policy and ask that you orientate yourself upon entry to the space.
