As part of the residency period Andie Flores will host a a number of events at Warehouse9, as well as a workshop at Roskilde Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li role=\"presentation\">Flores workshop at Warehouse9 &#8220;BAD DANCING&#8221; on <strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/billetto.dk\/en\/e\/bad-dancing-with-andie-flores-billetter-1019671?utm_source=organiser&amp;utm_medium=share&amp;utm_campaign=copy_link&amp;utm_content=2\">Tuesday 25th &amp; Wednesday 26th June st 5pm-7pm<\/a>\n<p><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li role=\"presentation\">Linh Le and Andie Flores will be in conversation at Warehouse9 on<a href=\"https:\/\/warehouse9.dk\/da\/begivenhed\/summer-social\/\">\u00a0<strong>Friday at 4pm,\u00a0 June 28, 2024.<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Flores will present an Art and Activism workshop,<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/warehouse9.dk\/da\/begivenhed\/where-does-a-clown-fit-in-the-revolution\/\">\u2018<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/warehouse9.dk\/da\/begivenhed\/where-does-a-clown-fit-in-the-revolution\/\">Embarrassment as a Revolutionary Tool\u2019 at\u00a0Roskilde Festival\u00a0on Monday, July 1 at 11am, 2024.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ANDIE FLORES<\/strong> (f. 1990) (hun\/hende) er en performancekunstner i Austin, Texas, der bruger forlegenhed som et medie til at unders\u00f8ge hyper, n\u00e6sten obsessiv, synlighed i en racialiseret krop p\u00e5 tv\u00e6rs af gr\u00e6nser, historie og kapital. Hendes praksis arbejder p\u00e5 at nedbryde kategoriske, stedsspecifikke forventninger til performancegenrer (kvindelighed, Latinidad, drag, statsborgerskab) og sigter mod at rekontekstualisere de mekanismer, der er n\u00f8dvendige for at udf\u00f8re det absurde. I want to know where a clown might fit in the revolution, or what a clown could learn from failure for the long con.<\/p>\n<p>During this residency, I&#8217;m looking forward to getting to know other experimental performers in Copenhagen, sharing imagination and solidarity practices, as well as learning more about the neighborhood of Freetown Christiania and its various performances of power, the realities of living outside of or against the state, especially throughout Christiania\u2019s storied history and now, in a moment of potential change, in relation to ideas like \u2018queer world building\u2019 or imaginings of utopic living. I\u2019d love to meet with residents of Christiania, as well as with local interventionists, performance activists, clowns, drag artists, costumers, etc.<\/p>\n<p>My goal is to spend time writing artistic research models and performances informed by what I learn, as well as playing with costuming and interventions in support of local actions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Want to connect with Andie?
