Hendes praksis arbejder p\u00e5 at nedbryde kategoriske, stedsspecifikke forventninger til performancegenrer (kvindelighed, Latinidad, drag, statsborgerskab) og sigter mod at rekontekstualisere de mekanismer, der er n\u00f8dvendige for at udf\u00f8re det absurde. Flores skaber eksperimentelle live-performances, der parrer identitet og \u00f8jeblikke fra komisk kultur med overdrevne, ofte groteske former og lyde. Hun er fascineret af den presserende opgave at opbygge verdener p\u00e5 gr\u00e6nsen af kunstskabelsens gr\u00e6nser.<\/p>\n<p>Hendes arbejde er blevet udstillet p\u00e5 Bushwig South, Presa House Gallery, The Museum of Human Achievement, Ivester Contemporary, MASS Gallery, Future Front Film Fest, Contrast Film Festival, Fusebox Festival og The Dallas Latino Cultural Center; og hendes skrifter er blevet offentliggjort i fields, Precog, Jezebel og Remezcla. Med hendes egne ord:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Jeg er besat af fiasko som en kunstnerisk praksis og ser en kontinuerlig cyklus af forlegenhed og fiasko som vores eneste vej ud \u2013 mod revolution, dybere ind i os selv og andet. Jeg vil vide, hvor en klovn passer ind i revolutionen, eller hvad en klovn kunne l\u00e6re af fiasko for det lange spil.<\/p>\n<p>Under dette ophold ser jeg frem til at l\u00e6re andre eksperimenterende performere i K\u00f8benhavn at kende, dele fantasifulde og solidaritetsbaserede praksisser, samt l\u00e6re mere om bydelen Freetown Christiania og dens forskellige magtdemonstrationer, livets realiteter uden for eller imod staten, is\u00e6r gennem Christianias omtalte historie og nu, i et \u00f8jeblik af potentiel forandring, i relation til ideer som 'queer verdensbygning' eller forestillinger om utopisk liv. Jeg vil meget gerne m\u00f8des med beboere i Christiania, samt med lokale interventionskunstnere, performanceaktivister, klovne, dragartister, kostumedesignere m.fl.<\/p>\n<p>Mit m\u00e5l er at bruge tid p\u00e5 at skrive kunstneriske forskningsmodeller og performances, der er informeret af, hvad jeg l\u00e6rer, samt at lege med kostumer og interventioner til st\u00f8tte for lokale handlinger.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vil du i kontakt med Andie? Denne internationale opholdsmulighed er tilt\u00e6nkt\u00a0<b>for queer kunstnere, der arbejder inden for live-performance<\/b>\u00a0og designet til at st\u00f8tte netv\u00e6rksopbygning, skabelse og deling af nyt arbejde i en international kontekst. Dette residensprogram er finansieret og har en fast varighed p\u00e5 en m\u00e5ned. Denne residensmulighed vil blive tildelt efter et \u00e5bent opslag og ans\u00f8gningsproces. Kunstnerne, der f\u00e5r ophold, vil blive valgt i samarbejde med deltagende organisationer og vil v\u00e6re v\u00e6rt for en offentlig deling af det arbejde, der er skabt under deres ophold, p\u00e5 b\u00e5de deres v\u00e6rt- og hjemorganisation.<\/p>\n<p>Form\u00e5let med dette residensprogram er at st\u00f8tte kunstnerisk udvikling og fremme kulturel udveksling samt langvarige forbindelser mellem kunstnere, organisationer og lokalsamfundene i Texas og Danmark.
