Victoria<\/strong> vil deltage i et 1-m\u00e5neds residensophold p\u00e5 Warehouse9 som en del af CopenhAustin kulturudvekslingsinitiativ. Som en del af residensperioden vil Victoria afholde workshops p\u00e5 Warehouse9.<\/p>\n

Mens Victoria er i ophold, vil de unders\u00f8ge deres projekt ‘<\/em><\/strong>Tillykke med den ikke-f\u00f8dselsdag! En hyldest til hverdagen<\/em><\/strong>:
\n<\/span>Hvad nu hvis hver dag var din f\u00f8dselsdag... og alles sammen ogs\u00e5? I en genfortolkning af en typisk f\u00f8dselsdagsfest fra deres barndom fremh\u00e6ver Victoria vigtigheden af f\u00e6llesskab, gl\u00e6de som modstand og dagdr\u00f8mmeri.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nOM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Victoria<\/strong> er en identitetsbaseret kunstner, der arbejder med video, performance, lyd, skulptur og installation. Deres arbejde v\u00e6ver elementer af mexicansk popkultur, traditioner og dagligliv sammen og fungerer som b\u00e5de en hyldest og en udforskning af deres arv. Gennem (video) performance udforsker Victoria deres queer- og nonbin\u00e6re identitet ved at eksperimentere med makeup, kostumer og parykker for at genforestille selvet og opfinde nye m\u00e5der at v\u00e6re p\u00e5. Deres arbejde centrerer sig ofte om hukommelse, hjem og k\u00e6rlighed, og skaber intime rum, der inviterer til refleksion, forbindelse og \u00f8mhed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Victoria er artist-in-residence som led i det internationale udvekslingsprogram \u00bbCopenhAustin\u00ab, der er et samarbejde mellem Warehouse9, Museum of Human Achievement og Unlisted Projects. <\/span>Victoria er f\u00f8dt ved gr\u00e6nsen mellem USA og Mexico og bor og arbejder i Austin, Texas.

K\u00d8BENHAUSTIN<\/strong><\/p>\n

K\u00f8benhavnAustin<\/b> er et udvekslingsprogram for kunstnerophold, der omfatter en queer performancekunstner\/arrang\u00f8r fra Texas og en queer performancekunstner\/arrang\u00f8r fra Danmark. Form\u00e5let med dette opholdsprogram er at st\u00f8tte kunstnerisk udvikling, fremme kulturel udveksling og tilskynde til milj\u00f8m\u00e6ssig b\u00e6redygtighed i det bredere kunstmilj\u00f8. Et unikt aspekt ved opfordringen er en forpligtelse til at kombinere LGBTQIA+-sp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5l med milj\u00f8m\u00e6ssig b\u00e6redygtighed. Residensdeltagerne f\u00e5r tid, plads, frihed og \u00f8konomisk st\u00f8tte til at koncentrere sig om at udvikle deres arbejde. Dette residensprogram er finansieret og har en fast varighed p\u00e5 en m\u00e5ned. I CopenhAustins f\u00f8rste \u00e5r, 2024, optr\u00e5dte de udvalgte residency-kunstnere i alt otte gange offentligt, fire gange i Danmark og fire gange i Texas. Kunstnerne forventes at bidrage til offentlige arrangementer, herunder, men ikke begr\u00e6nset til, forestillinger, workshops og paneldiskussioner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CopenhAustin er et samarbejdsprogram arrangeret af Unlisted Projects, Warehouse9 og The Museum of Human Achievement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
