SUMMARY:Lucy McCormick: Lucy & Friends
DESCRIPTION:IPAF presents: Lucy McCormick: Lucy & Friends \nLucy McCormick is back with her most ambitious medium-concept queer cabaret spectacular. In a despairing world\, Lucy attempts to create community and connection the only way she knows how- through a chaotic mix of pole dancing\, cat impersonation\, a clairvoyant and some quick re-working of social policy.  \nA master of theatrical manipulation and crushing personal vulnerability\, Lucy leaves her audiences needing a hug\, a cry and an immediate shower. \n  \nAbout The Artist:\nLucy McCormick makes nightclub interruptions\, cabaret interventions and extravaganza theatre shows\, marrying interests in absurdity\, ego and the grotesque. Her practice is cross-genre\, taking inspiration from theatre\, performance art\, comedy and dance. SUMMARY:Eve Stainton: The Joystick and The Reins
DESCRIPTION:IPAF presents: Eve Stainton: The Joystick and The Reins \nArtist and choreographer Eve Stainton presents their new choreographic performance\, The Joystick and The Reins\, accompanied by Ennio Morricone’s haunting score for The Thing (1982). \nThe Joystick and The Reins explores who is deemed to be\, and those who decide what constitutes a ‘threat’ within society\, exploring how marginalised groups have been instrumentalised through systems of oppression and authoritarianism. \nCycling through hyper-emotional states of intensity that never arrive at a fixed point\, the solo figure and the scene itself become a site for the audience’s own projections. Referencing ideas of power\, dominance\, perpetrator\, victim\, threat and interpretation. \nInfluences for The Joystick and The Reins include historical reenactments\, police and riot arrest imagery\, and 1980s ‘Crime Watch’ episodes\, examining what it means to reconstruct a theatrical scene that draws on truth\, and how societal constructs keep people ‘at risk’ of incarceration in a place of vulnerability. \nMorricone’s powerful music finds resonance with Stainton’s mutual exploration of societal suspicion\, psychological horror\, and the devastating potential of individual isolation. \n  \nAbout the Artist:\nEve Stainton is an artist and choreographer born in Manchester and living in London\, UK. They create multi-disciplinary performances that involve movement practices\, welded steel/live welding\, digital collage\, and other invisible forces like drama and suspense. Their research is rooted in community\, interested in how differently marginalised people experience and come into relationship with power structures and societal conventions. Often working with codes or tropes of gender\, class and threat\, revealing ‘behind the scenes’ mechanisms of working together to show a kind of reality that isn’t seamless.  \nNotable presentations include: ICA (UK)\, Tramway (UK)\, Venice Biennale performance programme in collaboration with Florence Peake (IT)\, Dansehallerne (DK)\, Block Universe (UK)\, Dampfzentrale (CH)\, Donaufestival (AT)\, My Wild Flag (SE)\, Le Guess Who? SUMMARY:Alex Franz Zehetbauer: bonappétitsixsixsix
DESCRIPTION:IPAF presents: Alex Franz Zehetbauer: bonappétitsixsixsix \nIn bonappétitsixsixsix\, performance artist and singer songwriter\, Alex Franz Zehetbauer slips into the jester’s skin—a figure with the ancient privilege to say and do anything without punishment: a.k.a. speak the truth a.k.a follow every impulse. A jester is never bound to a stage but to the social body itself. He digests the world and spits it back out (from one end or the other). This excrement is then presented to the audience as art. With a hint of something diabolical\, the fool has arrived to entertain.  \nSpit roasted by hydrophones and accompanied by the soothing strumming of his lyre\, he turns his entire body into a leaking instrument for his heartfelt songs. \nbonappétitsixsixsix embraces the jester’s capacity to create friction rather than consensus\, to transform social tension into performance. No one is safe: corrupt rulers\, slimy curators\, or daydreaming spectators may all find themselves ankle-deep on his shit list. But don’t run away. When the shit hits the fan you’ll be gagging for more. \nAnd most importantly\, you wouldn’t want to miss dinner…or become it. \n  \nAbout the Artist:\nAlex Franz Zehetbauer (b. 1990\, Brooklyn) is an artist and singer songwriter working at the intersection of performance\, music\, visual arts and choreography. In his performances\, he beguiles with sophisticated melodies\, strange vocal escapades and unexpected twists. He studied vocal performance\, choreography\, and composition at NYU’s Experimental Theater Wing and the International Theater Workshop in Amsterdam. Alex has collaborated with artists such as Phillip Gehmacher\, Jen Rosenblit\, Taylor Mac\, Anne Juren\, Richard Foreman\, Marta Navaridas and Alix Eynaudi. He currently lives in Vienna. SUMMARY:Charlie Laban Trier: Surfacing HypoKrisia
DESCRIPTION:IPAF presents: Charlie Laban Trier: Surfacing HypoKrisia \nSurfacing HypoKrisia is a series of performative efforts and spells to invoke manifestations of a speculative\, trans-mythic figure. Her name is HypoKrisia. She’s a figment of Charlie’s fantasy – imagined as the forgotten little sister of Tiresias\, the blind prophet from Greek mythology. The performance embarks on a journey researching resilience through the guidance of her. \nAccording to the myth\, Tiresias sees two snakes in a mating spiral. He is disgusted by the sight of something he does not understand and strikes the female snake. Because of this action\, Hera\, Zeus’ wife\, transforms him into a woman. \nBoth Tiresias and HypoKrisia could be read as trans figures\, but HypoKrisia resists a full  becoming. She insists on the liminal space and chooses to live in a performative state of “half un-done.” \nIn this imaginary myth she is deemed unworthy and dangerous by society and therefore erased from the stories. She’s the embodiment of the snake: smooth\, elusive\, and constantly on the verge of shedding skin. \nThe wish is to summon her from the depths\, because she has been held down beneath the surface for far too long. But in this act\, friction is inevitable; it’s not smooth sailing to bring forth what has been forgotten or perhaps never existed. It is like reaching through a portal to a time we cannot reach—and what emerges may be unknown and difficult to face. \nIn this dance-piece the audience is taken into a mythological spin\, where we no longer know who are speaking through whom. We’ll meet a lonesome character\, but there’s another presence hiding deep under. The boy attempts to invoke her\, he speaks in/with multiple tongues. \nThe pursuit is to dance with her; a dance-duet leading perhaps to a momentary take-over of his body. In this complicated partnership\, he tries to follow the laws of the trickster and together they embrace total pretense. Their tool-box is filled with contradictory disagreement\, faking and mimicry. \n  \nAbout the Artist:\nCharlie Laban Trier (b. 1987\, dk) is a performing artist who chooses to situate his practice deep within the realm of dance\, though the dances often appear through other forms such as; bottom-barrel yells turned into songs\, text-sampling\, endlessly becoming costume\, carrying/caring for screens\, extreme sculptural headbanging and more. He sees dance as inherently messy\, slippery and emergent – a form of knowledge that resists legibility.  \nLiving as a transperson\, is a big teacher in his thinking/approach to work. Charlie thinks of transness\, like dance\, as a technology that helps him complicate material. It allows for embodying multiple images\, seducing viewers\, and shifting fluidly between forms.  \nHe is currently investigating practices of collective myth-making\, wanting to foster conversations that resist fixed meaning and invite a dis-positioning of the hero/center-stage. \n  \nCredits: \nChoreography & performer: Charlie Laban Trier \nDramaturgical partner: Noha Ramadan \nLight designer: Angela X \nRC-vehicle builder: Anders Toft Pedersen \nOutside eye and RC-performer: Kai Merke \nMusic remix: Isadora Tomasi \nSpecial thanks: Angelica Stathopoulos \n  \nDeveloped with support from:  \nHIMHERANDIT\, Warehouse9 and Åbne Scene/Godsbanen – Queer Practice Residence 2025/26\, HAUT – IN PROCESS residency\, EHKÄ Contemporary Art Space Kutomo residency\, Performance space & PACT Sydney – Queer Development Program 2024\, Museion Bolzano – Opening the pill symposium 2022\, Arts Centre BUDA residency\, Jakoozi Amsterdam. \nMusic in piece: Aamourocean\, Britney Spears\, Cascada & Maurice West\, Chicane & Moya Brennan – The Thrillseekers remix\, Hole\, ORM. \n  \nGood to know:\n \nPossibility of close proximity to performer.\nSmoke in performance.\nLoud music at times.\nLanguage: English \n  \nIPAF:\nIPAF is Warehouse9’s international performance festival. SUMMARY:In-process performance sharing: H0LE AGAIN by Beck Heiberg\, Anna Näsström and Asta Norborg
DESCRIPTION:H0LE AGAIN is exploring the intersection of the hole and the whole\, examining our inherent obsession with filling holes—physically\, emotionally\, and sexually. By being in a hole and by embodying holes we are asking why there is a need to feel complete? Can the hole and whole co-exist without erasing the other and we question if wholeness first arises when the hole is filled? \nIn this in-process sharing\, Beck and Anna are incorporating their musical journey and landscape together with music producer Asta Norborg as well as focusing on the projections and streaming of the piece. This will be a showing where we invite you to stay for a small talk afterwards where we would value your thoughts on the experience. \nEntrance: Free\, with sign-up \nTime: 05.03.2026\, 17.30 – 18.30  \nABOUT THE ARTISTS  \nBeck Heiberg and Anna Näsström are artists in residence at Warehouse9 from 23.02 – 07.03.2026. They will participate in IPAF 2026 with an artist talk\, reflecting on their artistic process and residency period. More info to come.  \nBeck Heiberg is a choreographer and performer based between Copenhagen and Berlin. He has a BA in Theatre and Performance Studies from University of Copenhagen and is furthermore educated at Juste Debout School in Paris\, France and Hotstepper Studio in Copenhagen\, Denmark. Beck is investigating queer- and transpolitical aesthetics as both an explicit and implicit part of his praxis. He works in a broad field of theatre and performance\, but his own original work derives from building concepts up around movement and is often related to personal experiences. Beck is a member of Dance Cooperative – a platform and workspace for intersectional feminist and artistic choreographic practices in Copenhagen. \nAnna Näsström is a choreographer and danceartist based in Malmö while also working inter/nationally. She has a foundation in dance and performance with an education from the Stockholm University of the Arts and studies in New York. Her artistic practice takes place at the meeting point between dance\, technology and ethnography and moves between different contexts\, movement languages and dance cultures. Her practice is informed by waves of club culture\, transdisciplinarity and worldbuilding amongst other things. \nAsta Norborg is a composer\, multimedia artist and curator based between Malmö and Copenhagen. She holds a bachelor of composition from the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg and has also studied at the Danish Institute of Electronic Music in Aarhus. She performs solo and DJs under the moniker FASCIA and regularly composes for stage art. Astas solo work centers on themes of queer transhumanism\, blurring the borders of “organic” and “synthetic”\, and explores possibilities of embodiment in electronic music and digital art. \nAs an independent curator she has run several projects creating space for expanded dialogue on her artistic interests. These include the electronic concert series Kallelse\, which ran from 2022 – 2025 before transforming into the workshop festival Threading premiering in 2026\, as well as Rendered Voice – Day of Experimental Vocal Music. She also holds the position of curator for the queer cultural scene PAGE 28 and is a core producer of the drag and queer performing arts show Club Mermaid. \nWith support from: Skuespillerforbundet\, Wilhelm Hansen Fonden\, Swedish Arts Grants Committee \nAccessibility:\nWarehouse9 has a level entrance and a gender-neutral\, accessible toilet that is reachable via a certified stairlift. All events are run as relaxed spaces\, with a safer space policy in place. We kindly ask visitors to orient themselves to the space and policy upon arrival.

SUMMARY:Center of Unseen Trans Survival (C.U.T.S.)
DESCRIPTION:Center of Unseen Trans Survival (C.U.T.S.) is an itinerant\, para-institutional\, artist-run initiative aimed at sustaining and realizing the visions of trans artists\, as well as supporting projects investigating themes informed or indebted to strategies of trans survival. Founded by artist Ruby Nilsson (SE/DK) in 2024\, the center merges art\, curation\, and infrastructural thinking to find new models of creative production in times of rampaging transmisogyny and trans antagonism. Open to visual artists\, writers\, performers\, filmmakers and more\, C.U.T.S. supports its members through curated showcases\, network gatherings\, and distribution. It also offers anonymity to members by lending itself as an artistic vessel when needed. \nRUBY NILSSON\nCASSIE AUGUSTA JØRGENSEN\nADA ADA ADA\nSTORM MØLLER MADSEN\nFASCIA \nHOST FOR THE EVENING BA BLADH \nEntrance: Free\, with sign-up\nTime: 19:00 – 22:00 \n  \nABOUT THE ARTISTS\n \nRuby Nilsson (SE/DK\, b. 1993) is the founder of C.U.T.S. She works as an artist\, writer\, and organizer whose practice interrogates the philosophies\, politics\, mythologies\, and conspiracies that shape our understandings of sex as a physical and psychical phenomenon. Through performance\, installation\, curation\, and writing\, she explores the liminal and often contradictory overlaps between major and minor forces in the creation of sex — including capital\, science\, and state power vis-à-vis individual and local needs\, wants\, and desires. \nWork: Magna Paranoia (2024) \nCassie Augusta Jørgensen (DE b.1991) art practice unfolds at the intersection of visual art\, performance\, film\, and dance where performativity is at the heart of her work. The Berlin-based artist has danced throughout her life. She is a trained dancer from the Alvin Ailey School of Dance and graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2022 with the film work ‘The Danish Girl Dick\,’ based on the 1920s diary of Danish transgender landscape painter Lilli Elbe\, who\, like Jørgensen\, began her transition at the academy.Inspired by everything from the history of classical art forms\, to Christian moral conduct and fetish\, Cassie Augusta Jørgensen uses the absurd and gravity to challenge and deconstruct stereotypical representations of women\, not least addressing the way pop culture has portrayed trans women as mentally disturbed\, crazy\, when really they’re compounded with struggle. \nWork: Natures Freak (2025) \nStorm Møller Madsen (DK\, b.1987) is a performance and trans studies scholar\, as well as a dramaturg. They are currently finishing their dissertation at the University of Copenhagen\, Denmark entitled: ”Turning Toward Each Other: Trans-separatist Sensibilities\, Communal Becoming\, and Survival in Contemporary Trans Performance Art”. Their current work centers performance art and trans separatist practices and practicing within and beyond trans studies and trans artistic work. \nWork: Turning Toward Each Other – a trans separatist practicing (2025) \nAda Ada Ada (DK\, b.1992) is an algorithmic artist\, writer and speaker\, who works with gender\, queerness and bodies as perceived by computers through algorithms\, software\, “artificial intelligence” and more. Ada moves between art forms\, and so far\, her practice has included performative photography\, video\, generative art\, net art\, writing\, interactive installations as well as live “artificial intelligence” performance. Her work often deals directly with societal struggles\, concerns and politics\, for example through data visualization or performative engagements\, and her identity as a trans woman often informs the work she does. \nWork: in transitu \nFASCIA (SE\, b.1996) is a composer and instrument designer whose practice explores sensualities\, symbiosis\, invasions and blurred borders in relation to digital technologies\, approaching them as gateways to unknown becomings. \n\nrip ME (SE\, b. 1996) is the musical project of Em Silén. Carried by the love of combination\, rip ME’s artistic ideals are the result of their larger objective of channeling an endless generosity. Effortlessly and infinitely moving in between styles\, genres and modes of expression\, rip ME resigns any final definition\, resulting in a soundscape that is both unmistakably strange and familiar; all-consuming and intensifying. In the midst of disparate circumstances\, rip ME remains nothing but their own \n  \n\nAt the moment C.U.T.S. collaborates with institutions such as Warehouse9 (DK)\, Bastard Nordic (DK)\, Index (SE)\, and My Wild Flag (SE). \nWith support from Nordic Culture Fund\, Nordic Mobility Fund and Vanløse Lokaludvalg. \n  \n\nAccess Information: \nWarehouse9 has a level entrance and an accessible toilet\, which is reachable via a certified stairlift. \nAll events are run as relaxed spaces\, with a safer space policy in place. We kindly ask visitors to orient themselves to the space and policy upon arrival.

SUMMARY:Open Studio: Martin O'Brien
DESCRIPTION:Open Studio with Martin O’Brien \nYou are invited to enter the lair of the beast. An open studio in hell. Somewhere between a hospital\, a morgue\, and a BDSM dungeon where headless gimps serve drinks whilst being deep throated by ghosts\, serpents emerging from cracks in the floor\, and the dead dance on their own graves. Welcome to the strange world of Martin O’Brien. Martin will be displaying elements of his process\, including fragments of performance\, scores\, videos\, images\, objects\, and detritus.\nMartin O’Brien is currently in residence developing his new performance\, What the Serpent Told Me in the Misty Gloom. The piece will premiere on 15 November at Tate Britain. \nThis is a unique opportunity to meet Martin\, hear more about his artistic practice\, and gain insight into his creative process. \nTime: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PMArtist Talk with Martin O’Brien: 2:00 PM\nEntrance:Free – no need to book\, just drop in! Your welcome to drop in any time during the Open Studio hours.Refreshments: Snacks and drinks will be available. \n\n\n\nMartin O’Brien is an artist and zombie. He works across performance\, writing and video art. His work uses long durational actions\, short speculative texts and critical rants\, and performance processes in order to explore death and dying\, what it means to be born with a life shortening disease\, and the philosophical implications of living longer than expected. He has shown work throughout the UK; Europe; USA; and Canada\, and is well known for his solo performances and collaborations with the legendary LA artist and dominatrix Sheree Rose. His most recent works were at Tate Britain in 2020\, the ICA (London) in 2021\, and as Writer in Residence at Whitechapel Gallery in 2023. He is winner of the Philip Leverhulme Prize for Visual and Performing Arts 2022. Martin has cystic fibrosis and all of his work and writing draws upon this experience. In 2018\, the book ‘Survival of the Sickest: The Art of Martin O’Brien’ was published by Live Art Development Agency. His work has been featured on BBC radio and Sky Arts television\, and as a double page spread in The Guardian. He is currently senior lecturer in Live Art\, and head of department of Performance\, at Queen Mary University of London.\n\n\n\nDuring his residency at Warehouse9\, Martin will be working on a new performance What the Serpent Told Me in the Misty Gloom. The performance will premiere at Tate Britain 15 November 2025. Martin will continue his exploration of death\, dying\, the undead\, and ghostly returns through foggy death-scapes\, where images are half seen or miss seen. Fog filled grave yards or woods are classic horror film settings. The fog has the potential to hide danger\, but also to make the innocent feel dangerous. In the fog\, nothing looks or feels the same. SUMMARY:Victoria: Happy Unbirthday
DESCRIPTION:What if today was your birthday? And everyone else’s too? \nHappy Unbirthday! is a joyful celebration where we all join the party – wearing birthday hats\, singing Happy Birthday\, sharing our wishes\, and taking turns smashing a giant piñata. No one’s the center of attention – and somehow\, everyone is. \nAt the heart of this playful performance by American artist Victoria is a handmade piñata\, created from recycled materials and filled with messages from previous wNorkshops: memories\, dreams\, and notes waiting to be passed on. Crack it open and take a message with you – a birthday gift from a stranger. \nVictoria created Happy Unbirthday! in the wake of personal grief and rising anxiety around aging and mortality. Birthdays mark time – moments to pause\, reflect\, wish\, and gather. In Mexican culture\, the piñata is central to these rituals\, fostering communal participation and emotional release. By bridging Mexican\, American\, and Danish traditions\, the work becomes a space for cultural exchange\, celebration\, and (queer) joy. \nVictoria is an identity-based artist working across video\, performance\, sound\, sculpture\, and installation. Through video and       performance\, Victoria explores their Queer\, non-binary identity by experimenting with makeup\, costumes\, and wigs to reimagine the self and invent new ways of being. \nVictoria is an artist-in-residence as part of Warehouse9\, The Museum of Human Achievement and \nUnlisted Projects international residency exchange initiative called CopenhAustin.
