SUMMARY:Mellem rum og masker: Linn og Tone Haldrup Lorenzen

SUMMARY:Center of Unseen Trans Survival (C.U.T.S.)
DESCRIPTION:Center of Unseen Trans Survival (C.U.T.S.) is an itinerant\, para-institutional\, artist-run initiative aimed at sustaining and realizing the visions of trans artists\, as well as supporting projects investigating themes informed or indebted to strategies of trans survival. Founded by artist Ruby Nilsson (SE/DK) in 2024\, the center merges art\, curation\, and infrastructural thinking to find new models of creative production in times of rampaging transmisogyny and trans antagonism. Open to visual artists\, writers\, performers\, filmmakers and more\, C.U.T.S. supports its members through curated showcases\, network gatherings\, and distribution. It also offers anonymity to members by lending itself as an artistic vessel when needed. \nRUBY NILSSON\nCASSIE AUGUSTA JØRGENSEN\nADA ADA ADA\nSTORM MØLLER MADSEN\nFASCIA \nHOST FOR THE EVENING BA BLADH \nEntrance: Free\, with sign-up\nTime: 19:00 – 22:00 \n  \nABOUT THE ARTISTS\n \nRuby Nilsson (SE/DK\, b. 1993) is the founder of C.U.T.S. She works as an artist\, writer\, and organizer whose practice interrogates the philosophies\, politics\, mythologies\, and conspiracies that shape our understandings of sex as a physical and psychical phenomenon. Through performance\, installation\, curation\, and writing\, she explores the liminal and often contradictory overlaps between major and minor forces in the creation of sex — including capital\, science\, and state power vis-à-vis individual and local needs\, wants\, and desires. \nWork: Magna Paranoia (2024) \nCassie Augusta Jørgensen (DE b.1991) art practice unfolds at the intersection of visual art\, performance\, film\, and dance where performativity is at the heart of her work. The Berlin-based artist has danced throughout her life. She is a trained dancer from the Alvin Ailey School of Dance and graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2022 with the film work ‘The Danish Girl Dick\,’ based on the 1920s diary of Danish transgender landscape painter Lilli Elbe\, who\, like Jørgensen\, began her transition at the academy.Inspired by everything from the history of classical art forms\, to Christian moral conduct and fetish\, Cassie Augusta Jørgensen uses the absurd and gravity to challenge and deconstruct stereotypical representations of women\, not least addressing the way pop culture has portrayed trans women as mentally disturbed\, crazy\, when really they’re compounded with struggle. \nWork: Natures Freak (2025) \nStorm Møller Madsen (DK\, b.1987) is a performance and trans studies scholar\, as well as a dramaturg. They are currently finishing their dissertation at the University of Copenhagen\, Denmark entitled: ”Turning Toward Each Other: Trans-separatist Sensibilities\, Communal Becoming\, and Survival in Contemporary Trans Performance Art”. Their current work centers performance art and trans separatist practices and practicing within and beyond trans studies and trans artistic work. \nWork: Turning Toward Each Other – a trans separatist practicing (2025) \nAda Ada Ada (DK\, b.1992) is an algorithmic artist\, writer and speaker\, who works with gender\, queerness and bodies as perceived by computers through algorithms\, software\, “artificial intelligence” and more. Ada moves between art forms\, and so far\, her practice has included performative photography\, video\, generative art\, net art\, writing\, interactive installations as well as live “artificial intelligence” performance. Her work often deals directly with societal struggles\, concerns and politics\, for example through data visualization or performative engagements\, and her identity as a trans woman often informs the work she does. \nWork: in transitu \nFASCIA (SE\, b.1996) is a composer and instrument designer whose practice explores sensualities\, symbiosis\, invasions and blurred borders in relation to digital technologies\, approaching them as gateways to unknown becomings. \n\nrip ME (SE\, b. 1996) is the musical project of Em Silén. Carried by the love of combination\, rip ME’s artistic ideals are the result of their larger objective of channeling an endless generosity. Effortlessly and infinitely moving in between styles\, genres and modes of expression\, rip ME resigns any final definition\, resulting in a soundscape that is both unmistakably strange and familiar; all-consuming and intensifying. In the midst of disparate circumstances\, rip ME remains nothing but their own \n  \n\nAt the moment C.U.T.S. collaborates with institutions such as Warehouse9 (DK)\, Bastard Nordic (DK)\, Index (SE)\, and My Wild Flag (SE). \nWith support from Nordic Culture Fund\, Nordic Mobility Fund and Vanløse Lokaludvalg. \n  \n\nAccess Information: \nWarehouse9 has a level entrance and an accessible toilet\, which is reachable via a certified stairlift. \nAll events are run as relaxed spaces\, with a safer space policy in place. We kindly ask visitors to orient themselves to the space and policy upon arrival.

SUMMARY:Open Studio: Martin O'Brien
DESCRIPTION:Open Studio with Martin O’Brien \nYou are invited to enter the lair of the beast. An open studio in hell. Somewhere between a hospital\, a morgue\, and a BDSM dungeon where headless gimps serve drinks whilst being deep throated by ghosts\, serpents emerging from cracks in the floor\, and the dead dance on their own graves. Welcome to the strange world of Martin O’Brien. Martin will be displaying elements of his process\, including fragments of performance\, scores\, videos\, images\, objects\, and detritus.\nMartin O’Brien is currently in residence developing his new performance\, What the Serpent Told Me in the Misty Gloom. The piece will premiere on 15 November at Tate Britain. \nThis is a unique opportunity to meet Martin\, hear more about his artistic practice\, and gain insight into his creative process. \nTime: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PMArtist Talk with Martin O’Brien: 2:00 PM\nEntrance:Free – no need to book\, just drop in! Your welcome to drop in any time during the Open Studio hours.Refreshments: Snacks and drinks will be available. \n\n\n\nMartin O’Brien is an artist and zombie. He works across performance\, writing and video art. His work uses long durational actions\, short speculative texts and critical rants\, and performance processes in order to explore death and dying\, what it means to be born with a life shortening disease\, and the philosophical implications of living longer than expected. He has shown work throughout the UK; Europe; USA; and Canada\, and is well known for his solo performances and collaborations with the legendary LA artist and dominatrix Sheree Rose. His most recent works were at Tate Britain in 2020\, the ICA (London) in 2021\, and as Writer in Residence at Whitechapel Gallery in 2023. He is winner of the Philip Leverhulme Prize for Visual and Performing Arts 2022. Martin has cystic fibrosis and all of his work and writing draws upon this experience. In 2018\, the book ‘Survival of the Sickest: The Art of Martin O’Brien’ was published by Live Art Development Agency. His work has been featured on BBC radio and Sky Arts television\, and as a double page spread in The Guardian. He is currently senior lecturer in Live Art\, and head of department of Performance\, at Queen Mary University of London.\n\n\n\nDuring his residency at Warehouse9\, Martin will be working on a new performance What the Serpent Told Me in the Misty Gloom. The performance will premiere at Tate Britain 15 November 2025. Martin will continue his exploration of death\, dying\, the undead\, and ghostly returns through foggy death-scapes\, where images are half seen or miss seen. Fog filled grave yards or woods are classic horror film settings. The fog has the potential to hide danger\, but also to make the innocent feel dangerous. In the fog\, nothing looks or feels the same. The air feels thick\, almost suffocating\, if you fall asleep in the fog\, would you drown? \nClick here for Tate Britain premiere tickets\n \n\n\n\n\nAccess InformationWarehouse9 is wheelchair accessible via a level entrance. An accessible toilet is available and can be reached using a certified stairlift. \nAll events are held in a relaxed environment and follow a safer space policy. We kindly ask visitors to familiarise themselves with the space and the policy upon arrival.

SUMMARY:Residency: You can make me hole again
DESCRIPTION:Residency\nProject: You can make me hole again\nArtistic Team: Anna Näsström\, Beck Heiberg\, Anders Toft Pedersen \nYou can make me hole again is an investigation of the physicality of holes and of the\nrelationship between holes and the spatial body by using our\nb o d i e s i n h o l e s \, by embodying holes\, and by being a\nhole. We spend our time exploring the meeting of holes\nand the whole\, and look into our inherent obsession with filling\nh o l e s both physically\, emotionally and sexually. We are\nasking why there is a need to feel complete. Does wholeness\nonly come from the hole being full? Can the hole and\nwhole co-exist without erasing one another and can we\nbe in that w/hole? \n  \nAbout The Artists \nBeck Heiberg is a choreographer and performer based between Copenhagen and Berlin. He has a BA in Theatre and Performance Studies from Copenhagen University and is furthermore educated at Juste Debout School in Paris\, France and Hotstepper Studio in Copenhagen\, Denmark. \nBeck is investigating queer- and transpolitical aesthetics as both an explicit and implicit part of his praxis. He works in a broad field of theatre and performance\, but his own original work derives from building concepts up around movement and is often related to personal experiences. \nBeck is a member of Dance Cooperative – a platform and workspace for intersectional feminist and artistic choreographic practices in Copenhagen. \n\nAnna Näsström is a choreographer and danceartist based in Malmö. Her artistic practice unfolds at the intersection of dance\, technology\, and ethnography – navigating different contexts\, movement languages and multimedia or sensory projects. She has a foundation in dance and performance from the University of the Arts in Stockholm and Peridance and BDC in New York. \nHer choreographic work is informed by a range of influences including social dance\, club culture\, street dance\, ballroom\, and contemporary dance. This shapes her creative processes\, which often take on a multidisciplinary character with a norm-critical lens. Anna also holds a BA in Social Anthropology from Stockholm University\, with a keen interest in futures thinking and world-building.

SUMMARY:Bat Calligraphy: Calligraphy Workshop
DESCRIPTION:We will paint the spectograms of bats with ink. A spectogram is the visualization of bat sounds. The spectograms look like lines but vary in their form. The art of calligraphy says that you can practice all your life doing one line. One line is very rich just like the one sound of a bat. While we paint\, we will listen to their screams and see their screams portrayed on a screen. \nThis space will be a concentrated room where we can go deep into a meditative state of repetition.  \nInk and paper will be provided. \n  \nWho can participate? This workshop series is open to everyone. We ask that children are accompanied by an adult carer. There is a maximum number of participants per workshop\, we therefore ask the you RSVP in good time to secure a space. \nAccessibility: Warehouse9 has level free entrance to the space and an accessible toilet that can be accessed via a certified stairlift.\nAll events at Warehouse9 are considered “relaxed”. We operate with a safer space policy and will not tolerate any form of discrimination. \nCan I participate in more than one workshop? Yes! Feel free to participate in 1\, 3\, or 5! \nWho will facilitate the workshops? Artist\, long-eared-bat ambassador and climate activist Linh Le. You can read more about her in her bio below. \nLanguage: English / Danish – depending on needs of the group. \nPlease Note: Warehouse9 is housed in an old factory building. We recommend that you wear warm clothes. \n  \nMuch of the methods and knowledge about bats that will be explored during this workshop series come from Linh Le’s participation in the CopenhAustin residency and as a volunteer at Austin Bat Refuge \n  \nABOUT THE ARTIST \nLinh Le is a performance artist and climate activist. She is also the ambassador of the long-eared bat and part of the performance climate activist collective Becoming Species. Linh spends her time exploring nature\, different species and making collective spaces for reflection and action. Besides that\, she is also studying NVDA – non-violent direct action and the different strategies to confront injustices and create change.  \nPlaying and exploring with community and other species are at the core of Linh’s practice.  \nLinh will share her methods in exploring bats which have been developed during her one-month CopenhAustin residency by WH9 and MoHA.\nhttps://linhle.dk/ @linhle_explorer\n \n  \nSupported by The City of Copenhagen and the Danish Arts Foundation.

SUMMARY:Andreas Haglund & FASCIA: Residency
DESCRIPTION:Andreas Haglund & FASCIA will undetake a 1-month residency at Warehouse9 to further develop their work ‘surbending’. \nActivities whilst in residence: \n\n18th september (time TBA): work-in-progress sharing\n\n  \nSURBENDING by Andreas Haglund & FASCIA \nHormones\, pills\, white coats\, demeaning looks\, clear liquids and sterile walls in stiff waiting rooms. Bodies keep turning into what is hard enough to swallow\, what is outside their control. Just one more shot\, one more pill\, one more interview\, one more show. Semblances of control dissolve into surrendering\, into bending. Who’s in charge when the walls are already built?  \n‘surbending’ is a collaborative performance project between choreographer Andreas Haglund and electronic music composer and programmer FASCIA. The piece explores how surrendering can contain strategies of subversion and survival. Inspired by their shared experience as queer people navigating healthcare\, surbending teases out tensions of medical power. Hospitals make queer and trans lives possible while simultaneously robbing patients of self-determination and agency. Surrendering as the walls keep turning into ceilings\, turning into floors\, bending the waiting room into a mirror for self-realisation. \n‘surbending’ will premiere at SCOOP FESTIVAL on September 27th. Tickets here: https://shorturl.at/nzXBh \n  \nBios \nFASCIA is an electronic composer\, instrument designer and digital artist based in Malmö. Her work often entails using technology as prosthesis to enhance or transform human capabilities. For surbending\, she has programmed webcams to track movement\, using these to suspend the dancer in shifting power relations to the digital surveillance. \nAndreas Haglund works as a dance artist and choreographer between Sweden and Denmark. They are a member of the artist-driven studio Dance Cooperative\, a platform for 13 freelancing dance artists. In his own work he focuses on the somatic\, material and aesthetic coherences between queer lived experience and the cultural conception of nature. On stage\, in dance practice and in text.

SUMMARY:Salon Evening With Alex Franz Zehetbauer (IPAFxQueerlands)
DESCRIPTION:IPAF & Queerlands Presents:\nSalon Evening With Alex Franz Zehetbauer \nIPAF artist in residence\, Alex Franz Zehetbauer\, will host an evening salon to share the fruits of his week-long residency at wearhouse9. During his residency he continues his research on singing hosts by exploring the figure of the court jester. This research emerges as a playful tangent from his work “An Evening with”. \nAlex Franz Zehetbauer (*1990 in Brooklyn) creates performances\, sonic choreographies\, and songs. In his newest work\, An Evening with\, he hosts the audience with a trickster humor while mesmerizing them with his thunderous and tender vocals. His ear-worm melodies live somewhere between avant-pop and medieval-plainsong and his lyrics oscillate between the earnest and the absurd. Critics have called him: an angel\, a swamp monster\, and a red-eyed demon. He studied vocal performance\, choreography\, acting and composition at the Experimental Theater Wing at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the International Theater Workshop in Amsterdam. Alex has collaborated with artists such as Phillip Gehmacher\, Jen Rosenblit\, Taylor Mac\, Marta Navaridas and Alix Eynaudi. \nwww.alexfranzzehetbauer.com / @afranzz \n  \nLanguage:\nSalon evening will be mostly in English. \n\nHow to attend:\nFree with RSVP \n\nAccess Information:\nWarehouse9 has level free entrance to the space and an accessible toilet that can be accessed via a certified stairlift.\nAll events at Warehouse9 are considered “relaxed”. We operate with a safer space policy and ask that you orientate yourself upon entry to the space. \n  \nQueerlands: is an alternative meeting place for the queer community during CPH Pride with a focus on art and community within Warehouse9’s workshop space in Vanløse\, Copenhagen. It provides a different way of being together and respite from the official pride. \nThis event is an alternative offer to the main CPH Pride programme taking place in inner city. \n  \nThe residency is supported by the European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists – EFFEA\, an initiative of the European Festivals Association (EFA)\, co-funded by the European Union.  \nAs well as local support from Vanløse Lokaludvalg\, The Danish Arts Foundation and The City of Copenhagen. \n

DESCRIPTION:Alex Franz Zehetbauer will undetake a 1-week residency at Warehouse9. IPAF\, in collaboration with BUZZCUT Festival (Glasgow) have been awarded a grant from European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists – EFFEA\, to support and offer Alex Franz Zehetbauer a platform to further develop his work An Evening With on a European level through a residency\, presentation and network opportunities. \n  \nActivities whilst at Warehouse9: \n12 – 18 August: Residency to further develop An Evening With  \n16th August: Salon evening with Alex Franz Zehetbauer as part of Warehouse9’s Queerlands.  \n  \nAn Evening With is a playful & absurdist celebration of the ritual of the song as a force for coming together\, to mourn\, to resonate\, as a call to protest\, to tell stories\, and to manifest alternative futures. In the performance\, Zehetbauer slips into various roles each with their own song(s) to offer to the audience; catchy tunes that dismantle hierarchies between humans and nature\, reach for queer futures\, and seek to manifest economies of care over profit. \nAlex Franz Zehetbauer (*1990 in Brooklyn) creates performances\, sonic choreographies\, and songs. \nwww.alexfranzzehetbauer.com / @afranzz

SUMMARY:Work-in-Progress Showing: 'Drama' by A Ourø / A Kasakove
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to a work-in-progress showing of the work ‘Drama’. We will perform a 20 minute glimpse of the piece after which we welcome you to a casual reflection discussion and some good snacks.  \n\nWork-in-progress program text: \n‘Drama’ is the last part of a trilogy of works on loss that began in 2018. These works attend to the unknown\, the unknowable\, the looming\, and the never fully graspable. The performance ‘Drama’ takes place in a tragicomic sphere\, where comedy and grief accompany each other. The piece uses humor as a way to address hopelessness. The research looks into different artistic forms of drama without imposing a clear narrative or a definitive plot. ‘Drama’ navigates between concrete references and fragile and abstract forms. As we now near the end of this trilogy\, we reflect how this work can take part in addressing grief at this current time. The work does not look for a resolution\, yet it creates a stage\, invites an audience and proposes a dance with humor\, uncertainty and a sense of communal solitude. \n  \nThe costumes have been developed in close collaboration with costume designer Lærke Valum\nDance\, choreography\, music and production by Anna Lea Ourø and Amalia Kasakove\nMusic mentorship by ML Buch\nTailoring by Aina Erika Jonasson\nWith the support of Warehouse9\, Milvus Artistic Research Center\, Bora Bora\, La Bellone\, Théâtre Sévelin 36\, Dansehallerne\, Ställbergs Gruva\, Aaben Dans\, Dance Cooperative and Dansk Skuespillerforbund and Statens Kunstfond.                                                                                                                          \n  \nBio: \nAnna Lea Ourø (DK) and Amalia Kasakove (FIN/SWE) form the artist duo A Ourø / A Kasakove that resides in the field of dance and choreography. They have both received a Bachelor in Dance and Choreography from The Danish National School of Performing Arts (2017). Accesible toilets are accessible via a certified stairlift. This event is considered relaxed. Service dogs are welcome. \n  \nANDIE FLORES \nANDIE FLORES (b. 1990) (she/her) is a performance artist in Austin\, Texas\, who uses embarrassment as a medium for investigating hyper\, almost obsessive\, visibility in a racialized body across barriers of border\, history\, and capital. Her practice works to unsettle categorical\, site-specific expectations of genres of performance (femininity\, Latinidad\, drag\, citizenry) and aims to recontextualize the mechanisms required to do the work of the absurd. Flores creates experimental live performances that pair identity and comedic culture moments with over-exaggerated\, often grotesque shapes and sounds. She is fascinated by the urgent task of world-building at the edge of the limits of art-making.  \nHer work has been shown at Bushwig\, Presa House Gallery\, The Museum of Human Achievement\, Ivester Contemporary\, MASS Gallery\, Future Front Film Fest\, Contrast Film Festival\, Fusebox Festival\, and The Dallas Latino Cultural Center; and her writing has appeared in fields\, Precog\, Jezebel\, and Remezcla. She was named one of Remezcla’s ‘40 Emerging\, Texas-based Artists to Know’ in 2020\, and made Glasstire’s ‘Best of 2021’ list. She debuted her first solo stage show\, To Get There… You Must Undergo… A Radical Transformation at OUTsider Festival in February 2023 and produced a sold-out 6-show run at Crashbox in November 2023. She was voted best performance artist and among the top three art writers in Concept Animals’ Community Favorites poll of December 2023. \nhttps://www.andieflores.com/ \n  \nLINH LE \n\n\n\n\n\nLinh Le (she / her) works with performative activism and fights for a just world for life on earth. At the moment\, she explores the sensuousness and philosophy of species\, making rituals for the diversity of life. \nLinh Le is of a new generation of artists who with their own bodies are exploring the possibility of finding a balance between a growing desperation in a world of polycrisis and maintaining the belief in a different way of being human / species. \nAs a child of freedom fighters who came to Denmark as boat refugees from Vietnam\, and as a witness to their struggles in Danish society\, Linh Le is strongly called to free herself through dance\, to challenge the norms\, to transcend boundaries and explore how the body can act\, transform and demand space for the less heard voices. \nLinh Le is educated in Aesthetics and Culture from Aarhus University and Performance Design & Planning from Roskilde University. She is co-founder and member of the performance climate activist group Becoming Species which in close alliance with Extinction Rebellion and Embassy of the Species Copenhagen has made several performative actions in public space to amplify nature’s diverse voices. \nhttps://linhle.dk/
