Dud Muurmand: FENRIS – Qlab Residency

July 6 - July 22

Dud Muurmand is artist-in-residence for an artistic development programme at Warehouse9’s Qlab from 6 to 22 July 2026. Here, she will develop the multidisciplinary performance piece FENRIS, created in collaboration with musician Marko Hautamäki (FI), which will later be presented at the alternative culture festival Uma Obscura in Umeå, Sweden.

FENRIS is a multidisciplinary interpretation of the mythological tale of the Fenris wolf, symbolising the struggle between chaos and order. In the initial brainstorming sessions, this concept has been paired with the symbol of the contemporary introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in both art and work. The music is being created by Marko in direct collaboration with Dud, who is designing the choreography and the visual expression of the costumes.

As part of the work’s development at Warehouse9’s Qlab, there will be a public showing/workshop in October. More information on this will follow.

Dud Muurmand is a Copenhagen-based dancer, choreographer, performance artist, instructor, and costume designer. She has been a part of the Warehouse9 community for many years, including performing at the Screwed/Xmas Cabaret and Piano Bar. She tours several European and Nordic alternative/dark fusion festivals with workshops and performance projects. Additionally, she runs her own Patreon online forum and community, where she teaches, directs larger performance projects, and experiments with online/video performance. Dud works with the fusion of dance and storytelling, frequently drawing inspiration from Nordic history, mythology, and folklore.

Warehouse9 is supported by The Danish Arts Foundation and The City of Copenhagen.
