Bat Meditation: Becoming Bats
Have you ever wondered how it must feel to fly and scream at night? Come to a one-hour guided meditation where we transform and imagine ourselves being bats, moving around and screaming.
Guided meditation in becoming bats was developed during CopenhAustin residency program by Wh9 and MoHA.
Who can participate? This workshop series is open to everyone. We ask that children are accompanied by an adult carer. There is a maximum number of participants per workshop, we therefore ask the you RSVP in good time to secure a space.
What to wear: Warm and comfortable clothes. You will be asked to take a position that your body is comfortable with for the duration of the meditation. For example: sitting, lying down…etc).
Accessibility: Warehouse9 has level free entrance to the space and an accessible toilet that can be accessed via a certified stairlift.
All events at Warehouse9 are considered “relaxed”. We operate with a safer space policy and will not tolerate any form of discrimination.
Can I participate in more than one workshop? Yes! Feel free to participate in 1, 3, or 5!
Who will facilitate the workshops? Artist, long-eared-bat ambassador and climate activist Linh Le. You can read more about her in her bio below.
Language: English
Much of the methods and knowledge about bats that will be explored during this workshop series come from Linh Le’s participation in the CopenhAustin residency and as a volunteer at Austin Bat Refuge
