KFWS (Københavns Forening for Wrestling og Scenekunst) works with sensory, physical, and participatory performance unfolding within queer community spaces. Their practice explores how temporary characters and spectacular narratives emerge through encounters between chaos, imagination, and the body. Drawing inspiration from theatrical wrestling, camp aesthetics, and collaborative play, they create situations where people and movement collectively reimagine performance anew—allowing relational and fluid identities space to evolve.
A central point of departure in this work is a care for collective joy and creative freedom—using the ring not as a site of ego, but as an aesthetic foundation for laughter and community.

FENRIS workshop with Dud Muurmand
FENRIS is a multidisciplinary artistic interpretation of the mythological tale of the Fenris wolf. A symbol of the battle between chaos and order, which we see playing out in our contemporary era with the introduction of artificial intelligence/AI in both art and work.
Created by dancer/choreographer Dud Muurmand (DK) and musician Marko Hautamäki (FI), and developed during a residency in Warehouse9’s Qlab. FENRIS will premiere at the alternative culture festival Uma Obscura in Umeå, Sweden in November 2026. In collaboration with Warehouse9, Dud Muurmand and Marko Hautamäki invite us into their workspace for two evenings to facilitate a workshop, work-in-progress showing, and artist talk.
About the workshop, 22 october 2026
Dud welcomes you into her own artistic universe of theatrical dance and movement, where storytelling has a big focus.
We will work with the dance and drama improvisations, using the participants’ individual body language and imagination to create movements with expression and storyline – both solo and in group.
With her experience in large group-projects, Dud will also give some insights into developing group synergy in dance and movement.
The goal of this workshop is to inspire you to use your body for great storytelling and feel the dance joy.
The workshop is open to all, no specific technical background is needed.
About the work in progess sharing and artist talk, 23 october 2026
Dud og Marko invites you to a work-in-progress sharing of the FENRIS-project in Copenhagen, before the performance piece will be premiered at the Uma Obscura festival in Umeå in November 2026. After the preview, there will be an artist talk where you can ask the artist about the piece and the process.
Please note, only Dud will be present live on stage during this preview / talk – Marko will be present online for the talk.
About the artists
DUD MUURMAND: Copenhagen-based Dark Fusion dance artist Dud has worked professionally in dance for 30 years. She has toured Europe and Scandinavia with workshops and performance projects, and has also been a part of the Warehouse9 performance stages before. She runs her own Patreon online forum with online classes and theatrical fusion performance projects. Dud works with the fusion of dance and storytelling, frequently drawing inspiration from Nordic history, mythology, and folklore.
MARKO HAUTAMÄKI: Marko is a Finnish multi-instrumentalist best known from bands Two Witches and Chaos Research, both of which have performed in Uma Obscura in previous years. Marko has composed music for movies and video games, stylistically from metal to classical. He is pioneering the use of electric cello in the dark music scene and doesn’t shy away from experimentation. Recent interests include use of sound signals to achieve altered levels of consciousness.

Get Weird With Wrestling – Qspace workshop
The Spectacular Body: A Weekly Exploration of Queer Wrestling and Camp Performance
Welcome to a weekly laboratory in Warehouse9’s Qspace, where we explore the wrestling ring as a site of radical theatricality. When we step into the arena of hyper-expressive movement, the body becomes a canvas for our wildest imaginations. Inspired by the rich history of camp performance, melodrama, and physical comedy, this workshop invites you to discover and create spectacular alter-egos—personas that open up new spaces for collective joy, intimacy, and community play.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
- Time: Thursdays, 18:30–20:30 (please arrive 10 minutes early)
- Meeting point: Warehouse9, Rosenlunds Allé 5 (Baghuset), 2720 Vanløse
- Who can join?: Open to all bodies, fitness levels, and identities. No prior wrestling or acting experience is required. Strictly 18+
- Language: English (or Danish/English depending on the group).
- What to bring: Please wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move in, a water bottle, and a clean pair of indoor shoes (trainers/sneakers) to protect the floor.

Throughout the weekly sessions, we will:
- Master the art of gravity and the spectacular fall: Falling is not just a necessity; it is a grand narrative gesture. We will break down the physical techniques of the “bump,” learning how to distribute impact safely across the body, land with confidence, and transform a sudden drop into a moment of breathtaking theatrical suspense.
- Embody the mechanics of physical illusion: We will practice safe, foundational stage combat and wrestling movements. You will learn the geometry of the ring, how to share weight safely with a partner, and how to execute stylized, high-energy movements with total control and bodily awareness.
- Master the sensory language of “the sell”: How does a body communicate impact through pure theater? We will dissect the timing, rhythm, and exaggerated gestures needed to make a fictional collision look hilariously high-stakes, turning a simple reaction into a grand narrative moment.
- Draw inspiration from archetypes and storylines: From the tragic, over-the-top heroes of classic soap operas to the chaotic brilliance of comedic wildcards, we will learn how to build fictional backstories and larger-than-life personas.
- Explore materials, gestures, and sensations: How can a sequin, a dramatic pause, a grand entrance, or an exaggerated gasp become a sanctuary for expression? Participants are encouraged to build, discover, and experiment with physical presence and creative costuming.
- Take part in vocal and character exercises: We will pause to play with the microphone, practicing the art of theatrical trash-talking and crowd work rooted entirely in comedy, imagination, and playful energy.
These sessions are an open invitation to see physical performance with new eyes. Come as you are, and together we can create vibrant, joyful pauses within our everyday realities.
