Warehouse9 is partnering with Live Art Development Agency (UK), My Wild Flag (Sweden), Rosendal Teater (Norway) and ANTI Festival (Finland) to create a network dedicated to nurturing queer interdisciplinary performance practice across borders.

Partners will develop collective tools and strategies for supporting marginalised practices through co-learning programmes focused on sustaining queer practice, community, public space and legacy. The network aims to build a transnational model for co-learning and cooperation, grounded in the cultural and political significance of queer performance practice. Across developing, platforming, and archiving queer practice, the network members will share tools for preserving marginalised histories, challenging dominant narratives, and enabling social transformation through cultural programming.

About the partners:

Live Art Development Agency, London, UK, is a charitable organisation, dedicated to the development of live art research, practice and infrastructure. Founded in 1999, the Live Art Development Agency (LADA) operates from East London and works locally, nationally and internationally. They are the home of the Study Room research collection, which holds an archive of queer performance from the 1980s to today. The archive will form the starting point of the London network meeting focused on preserving and activating queer art histories and a public discursive event for our artistic community. My Wild Flag, Stockholm, Sweden, is an annual dance and choreography festival happening in early September since 2017. The festival offers international and local acts working with experimental formats and intersectional perspectives. MWF can be seen as a choreography in itself, where different communities engage in social choreographies as well as works made for the stage. The festival wants to expose and address urgent themes: bodies, thinking and beings that disturb and embrace the ways in which we perceive the world. MWF will bring their experience of artist-led curation and grassroots activism to the network, and host the second network meeting at the festival in early September 2026. www.mywildflag.com

ANTI Festival, Kuopio, Finland, is an international contemporary art festival held annually in September. The festival has been organised for 25 years and is Finland’s leading live art event. ANTI will work as the project lead, taking care of the overall project coordination and financial management. It will utilise its wide photo and video archives and experiences in working with queer artists and local communities to support the project objectives. Through its 25-year history, the festival has not only supported queer live art strongly but also worked for queering the mindset and spaces of its hometown, for more equal and safer public spaces. ANTI will host the third and final network meeting at the ANTI Festival in late September 2026 in Kuopio. https://antifestival.com/en/

Rosendal Teater, Trondheim, Norway, is an inviting, curious, super international and hyper local house of performance, theatre, dance, music and debate. Their vision is to transform the performing arts – towards a bold, inclusive and sustainable future. RT is deeply embedded in queer art locally, nationally and internationally, with a significant proportion of its programme given to queer focusses and audiences that are twice as likely to be queer as national averages. RT will contribute its curatorial, and socially engaged expertise to support the project’s goals. www.rosendalteater.no

Warehouse9, Copenhagen, Denmark, brings nearly 20 years of community-rooted queer arts practice in Denmark, where queer performance has historically been underrepresented and under-documented. We are committed to supporting marginalised practices, reimagining the politics of space, and creating artist-centred opportunities.  As we approach our 20th anniversary, this network will be instrumental in guiding how we engage with and activate our archive. WH9 will contribute its curatorial, archival, and socially engaged expertise to support the project’s goals.

Ali Cedroni

Ali Cedroni (She/Her) has been involved in nearly every industry involving sound, from recording studios, to film sets, to video games, to concerts and theater.

After studying Audio Arts and Acoustics at Columbia College Chicago in 2016, she left the US and became heavily involved in the DIY music and queer art scenes in Scandinavia, expanding her skills to lights and performing music herself.

Sarah Wegeberg (hun/dem) er producer og leder af kommunikation hos Warehouse9. 

Sarah har en kandidatgrad i teatervidenskab og performancestudier fra Københavns Universitet (2023) med fokus på queer dramaturgi, performanceontologier og kommunikation. Hun har arbejdet med adskillige queer teater- og performancegrupper, både i uafhængige og større institutionelle sammenhænge. 

Hos Warehouse9 producerer Sarah tværfaglige kunst- og community-projekter, der forbinder kunstnere og lokalsamfund på tværs af discipliner og traditioner.

Kasper Daugaard Poulsen

Danser, performer og koreograf.

Uddannet danser fra Amsterdam School of the Arts i 2002. Kasper arbejder inden for en bred vifte og blanding af formater og genrer som dans, performance, tekstbaseret teater, musikdrama, installationskunst, videokunst, stedsspecifikke værker og værker for børn og unge, både nationalt og internationalt.

Han var medlem af Statens Kunstfond, Udvalget for Scenekunst samt Udvalget for Musikdramatik (2014-17) og medlem af Aarhus Kommunes Kunstfond (2018-21).

Bestyrelsesmedlem i Aarhus Teater og formand for SCENATET –ensemble for kunst og musik.

Medlem af Horsens Teaterfestivals kurateringsgruppe 2026-29. Bestyrelsesuddannet fra Erhvervsakademi Aarhus 2026.

Jasmin Ingemansen

Jasmin har en kandidatgrad i engelsk og kulturkommunikation fra Københavns Universitet og har arbejdet inden for flere områder af kulturfeltet. Hun har erfaring med at eksekvere og kommunikere film, festivaler, kunstmesser og litteratur, og har nu kastet sig over queer performancekunst på Warehouse9. 

Emma Castro Møller

Emma (de/hende) har været et kerne-medlem siden 2012 og en ledende kraft i at drive den organisatoriske udvikling. De har været med til at forme WH9’s kunstneriske profil, igangsat nationale og internationale samarbejder og konsolideret WH9 gennem fundraising-strategier og ved at insistere på produktionsmetoder med fokus på omsorg og tilgængelighed.

Derudover arbejder Emma som selvstændig kurator, f.eks. gennem kurator-duoen osborn&møller, hvor de har ageret som gæstekurator på Wellcome Collection (UK) og kurateret en del af City of Womens 25-års jubilæumsfestival i 2019 (SL). Emma har erfaring som freelance producer i UK, hvor de har arbejdet med kunstnere som Poppy Jackson, Manuel Vason og SPILL Festival. Emma har en MA i Teater og Performance fra Queen Mary, University of London og en BA (Hons) i Drama, Applied Theatre & Education fra Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Jørgen Callesen

Jørgen Callesen (De/Han) er medstifter og kunstnerisk leder af Warehouse9.

Igennem 19 år har de været en integreret del af udviklingen af Warehouse9 til at blive en førende organisation for tværæstetisk queer kunst, med internationale festivaler og socialt engagerede projekter. Han har en ph.d. i informations- og medievidenskab fra Aarhus Universitet (2005) og har en kunstnerisk praksis med performancefiguren «miss fish». De har præsenteret soloværker i Danmark og internationalt siden 2002 og arbejder i samarbejde med adskillige queer-kunstnere samt i større produktioner.
